Burn Prevention

Every year, there are more than 500,000 burn injuries in the United States. The team at the Regional Burn Center wants to reduce that number. We reach out to health care professionals and the community with a goal of prevention and improvement in the quality of care and recovery for burn patients.

We work closely with the Burn Prevention Foundation and the Burn Foundation of Philadelphia in burn education, including:

  • Student nurse and school nurse programs
  • Pre-hospital and emergency department education
  • Industry burn prevention
  • First responder (those who arrive at an accident scene first) and firefighter programs
  • Re-entry to school program for children who suffer burns

For more information on any of these programs, call 610-402-CARE.
